Description

Under the supervision of the Director of the Chibougamau office, the compliance technician is responsible for conducting inspections and audits to ensure that the laws, policies and internal rules in environment, health and safety and exploration are respected.

Its obligations involve the monitoring and analysis of risk areas for the proper functioning of the Moblan Project.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Comply with the compliance program for the Moblan project in addition to applicable laws, rules and Sayona policies
Ensures that the inspection/audit and risk management processes are followed and collaborates with the implementation of corrective and preventive actions as well as adequate control measures
Performs quality checks and routine risk assessments on the Moblan site and reports daily to his superior
Performs audits, environmental inspections in the field and performs sampling when required
Assist in drafting and distributing Sayona compliance communications
Advise employees, contractors and recommends corrective action when required in connection with the compliance program
Updates his knowledge of regulations and best practices in the industry in order to effectively meet his obligations
In collaboration with all sectors (environment, health and safety, exploration, human resources), disseminates the culture of compliance by defining prevention and awarenessraising actions on risk management
Assist with sampling and core shack as needed
All other related tasks

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

College diploma in environment, health and safety, exploration or in a related discipline is an asset
2 to 3 years of experience in a similar position or practical experience with the various risk analysis methods applied in environment, health and safety or exploration
Valid driver's license
Bilingualism (French, English), the Cree language is a determining asset
