What YOU Will Do


Under the supervision of the Sector Quality Coordinator, the position holder demonstrates leadership as an improvement agent on multiple projects simultaneously and must ensure the interpretation, guidance, and implementation of standards in quality management, assurance, and control in coherence with our practices and corporate objectives.


Responsibilities:


  • Guide site management staff in achieving corporate quality objectives by ensuring the involvement of all stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively and regularly to maintain constant contact with counterparts in construction.
  • Act as a consultant to the quality personnel assigned to projects in the sector and contribute to the continuous improvement of operations.
  • Participate in 0% meetings (project kickoff meetings) to ensure that qualityrelated risks are identified, personnel and tools needed for the implementation of our quality program are adequate according to the contract's scope, and to meet client requirements and corporate objectives.
  • Support designated personnel in producing required documentation (Quality Plan, Inspection and Test Plans, etc.) at the start of a new project.
  • Transfer the file to the project's quality manager when they take up their position.
  • Participate in planning workshops for quality aspects during project design planning (DB, 3P, etc.).
  • Validate quality requirements before issuing plans and specifications to the site.
  • Ensure the inclusion of quality requirements before issuing bids.
  • Train identified personnel who will work in quality (e.g., superintendents, inspectors, foremen, etc.) and ensure subcontractors understand how to deliver compliant work (preconstruction meetings) with various quality tools and issues.
  • Intervene promptly with the project team when a risk to the company arises.
  • Issue nonconformance notices and ensure followup.
  • Halt work if the situation requires, in collaboration with the project team.
  • Participate in problem resolution related to quality issues.
  • Analyze preventive/corrective actions, act when necessary, and reverify results.
  • Provide support to the team and participate in the process.
  • Verify that changes requested by professionals are uptodate, communicated, and tracked (during quality visits).
  • Ensure workshop drawings and other technical documents have been submitted for approval and followup (during quality visits).
  • Participate in and support the team during project closure and delivery.
  • Conduct internal quality audits regularly: open and close sessions, write reports, and transmit them to those audited within the specified audit program timelines.
  • Conduct, master, and manage internal quality followups regularly (performance dashboard).
  • Accompany teams during external audits.
  • Compile statistics related to projects in the sector and report them according to sector agreements (performance dashboard, nonconformance management).
  • Contribute through research and analysis to document claims/litigation related to quality.
  • Provide necessary quality support to estimation or prequalification teams: analyze quality requirements during qualifications or submissions to make recommendations for required resources and tools. Participate in planning workshops during qualification, as well as in drafting.

What YOU Will Bring

  • Hold a bachelor's degree or a technical diploma in construction engineering or architecture.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the construction field and in quality management on construction projects.
  • Possess a good command of both French and English grammar.
  • Master the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Be bilingual in French and English, both orally and in writing.
  • Have geographical mobility.
