Drafting Technician, Edmonton - Midwest Surveys

APPLICANT MUST BE AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN CANADA. This position requires daily attendance to our Edmonton office location.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating plans using CAD and coordinate geometry software on Windows platform stations.
- Producing all drafting related products.
- Collaborating with internal staff and external clients using various communication tools to deliver an optimal product.
- Developing 2D drawings for use in survey plans.
- Understanding survey plan content, identifying, and evaluating evidence descriptions, and adhering to company drafting standards and client requirements.

What you offer:
- A diploma in CAD Drafting or Engineering Design and Drafting with 1year experience in surveying, oil and gas and the municipal drafting industry.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Map, or Civil.
- Strong drafting skills in both 2D and 3D environments, specifically related to surveying.
- Working knowledge of the township survey system.
- Demonstrates critical and creative thinking and problemsolving abilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects.
- Demonstrates accuracy, neatness, and professionalism in the development of drafting products.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to take instruction and work independently.
- Highly collaborative individual.
