Description

Geomatics Technician Role:

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

Work closely with our team on field data processing, job progress tracking and survey plan-checking and computations
Liaise closely with project management to effectively provide clients with excellent service
Contribute to examination of existing processes to determine what, if any, changes can be made to increase efficiencies in the field and office
Follow Midwest Surveys health and safety protocols and committed to ongoing learning in this area
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Project Manager, Land Surveyor, or Office Manager

Qualifications:

Minimum three years' experience in the Survey industry, similar role preferred
Working knowledge of how GPS and total stations are used in the collection of survey data
Proficient in the use of survey software including MicroSurvey

Key Competencies and Behavioural Attributes:

Good communication skills and a strong sense of professionalism when interacting with crews, drafting staff, Land Surveyors and clients
Strong mathematical and computer operating skills
Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated accuracy, neatness and professionalism in the development of survey products
