Description

Geomatics Technician Role:

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Work closely with our team on field data processing, job progress tracking and survey plan-checking and computations
  • Liaise closely with project management to effectively provide clients with excellent service
  • Contribute to examination of existing processes to determine what, if any, changes can be made to increase efficiencies in the field and office
  • Follow Midwest Surveys health and safety protocols and committed to ongoing learning in this area
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Project Manager, Land Surveyor, or Office Manager

Qualifications:


  • Minimum three years' experience in the Survey industry, similar role preferred
  • Working knowledge of how GPS and total stations are used in the collection of survey data
  • Proficient in the use of survey software including MicroSurvey

  • Good communication skills and a strong sense of professionalism when interacting with crews, drafting staff, Land Surveyors and clients
  • Strong mathematical and computer operating skills
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated accuracy, neatness and professionalism in the development of survey products
