Job Description:


The Coordinator, Human Resources, is an integral member of the Human Resources team who contributes through providing support to various research and project initiatives, day over day activities, and in supporting HR related processes.


Education:


  • A diploma or Undergraduate Degree in Business/Human Resources or other related field
  • Completion of a professional development program in human resource management is preferred
  • CHRP designation preferred

Experience:


  • Recent experience working in a similar Human Resources capacity required
  • Experience working within a unionized and/or healthcare environment preferred
  • Experience with payroll, scheduling or recruitment systems or equivalent is required
  • Experience conducting training sessions is considered an asset
  • Project Management experience an asset

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management, planning and organizational skills to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality


  • Strong computer skills

  • HRIS
  • Human Resource/Payroll system, Excel, Microsoft Word

Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate and conduct training on the various Human Resources Systems for leaders and employees as necessary
  • Assist in maintain data integrity within the Human Resources systems, including but not limited to security access, reporting structure, and data auditing
  • Review data, prepare reports, interpret information to validate accuracy and relevancy
  • Complete assigned duties in the talent acquisitions process such as completion of offers letters and other documents to support the process as well as providing support to the various talent acquisition initiatives
  • Support Labour and Employee relations initiatives with document preparation, research, report generation and auditing
  • Assist with workforce optimization initiatives such as updating and maintaining relevant dashboards and metrics
  • Establish, promote and maintain positive and effective working relationships with HR partners to meet and exceed high expectations for quality outputs from the HR systems and functions
