Description

Learning support Coordinator's responsibilities include:

Implementing innovative practices for student success
Develop, implement and monitor Individual Education Plans in consultation with classroom teachers and make ongoing evaluations and revisions consistent with ministry guidelines.
Creating schedules for Education Assistants
Managing relationships with staff, student and parents
Assisting with level B testing
Be familiar with the Ministry of Education _Manual of Policies, Procedures and Guidelines_
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Hold a valid BC teaching certificate
Have a special Education Degree from a recognized university, be working towards a special education diploma or have relevant special education experience
Possess an understanding of and commitment to Christian Education
Actively and personally support a Pentecostal/Charismatic statement of faith
Be an exceptional communicator and fluent in oral and written English
Value the team and be adept at working, collaboratively and communicating professionally with staff across all levels and disciplines
Have strong interpersonal skills with a desire to serve
