We are hiring at Valsoft for a Payroll Specialist to join the team in Montreal

Valsoft Corporation is looking for an extremely self-motivated Payroll Specialist to join our Finance Team, which will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing operations and support for multiple Canadian and international existing and new subsidiaries. This is a unique opportunity to take your payroll knowledge to another level.

About the Team:

You will be part of a dynamic, growing team where teamwork and communication are essential. You will be in the epicentre of the action, closely working with all stakeholders. This is an opportunity to explore payroll as never before.

What your day will look like:

Input, audit, and processes multiple payrolls for multiple subsidiaries of varying complexities, coordinate all incoming payroll data
Partner with the HR and operation teams on the transition of new payroll accounts
Insure provincial, state and federal compliance globally. Report and remit to multiple state authorities
Providing companies with updates and legislative guidance as needed in multiple countries
Balance tax forms at the end of the year and complete the Year End summaries
Respond to and resolves all incoming inquiries from stakeholders, while delivering the highest level of customer service within expected timelines. serves as the second point of escalations and issues
Prepare reports including earnings summaries, taxes, deductions, leaves, taxable and nontaxable earnings, as well as other HR/Payroll metrics
Participate and lead special projects and ad hoc activates

About You:

Minimum 2 years' experience in processing fullcycle payroll
ADP Work Force Now knowledge is an asset
PCP certification is an asset
Clear understanding of Year End processes and legislative requirements
Extreme attention to details and organization skills
Strong interpersonal skills, timemanagement skills
Be comfortable to work with multiple payroll solutions and tools
Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable solutions/processes
Excellent customer service
Excellent Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Ability to work in fastpaced, changing environment
Ability to work both independently and in collaboration in a team environment
Goal oriented
Team player
Excellent communication and problemsolving skills
Motivated to learn, develop and grow
Working proficiency in English, both written and verbal
Legally authorized to work in Canada
