Description

This position will be reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.

As the Maintenance Technician, you will be to ensure that the facility as well as the machinery always housed in the facility is operational and is operating in a safe mode that does not create a safety or environmental hazard.

Primary Responsibilities:

Under mínimal supervision, performs a combination of advanced and basic mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance work
In charge of daily machine repairs/troubleshooting and proper corrective actions
Helps to establish a spare part inventory and makes recommendations on spare parts usage and stock level
Fills in work orders to document root cause of equipment breakdown and troubleshooting method
Fills in preventive and predictive reports
Troubleshoot process problems and initiative and/or participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives and quality improvements
Adheres to safety standards by promoting a safe work environment through attending safety committees, training, and verifying all safety concerns are addressed
Adhere to all rules and regulations of SHW

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of 12 years automotive experience
College diploma as electromechanical technician / technologist or similar work experience
Have a demonstrated experience in previous electromechanical area
Able to read and troubleshoot Siemens S7 PLC logic
Excellent communication skills dealing with internal departments, equipment suppliers and other 3rd party service providers
Experienced with MS Office and Maintenance software
Ability to work a flexible schedule if required
Able to read electric, hydraulic and pneumatic circuit diagrams
Ability to attain C.Tech or C.E.T. certification
