Primary Function
The Program Manager is the interface between the Company and the Original Equipment Manufacturers. They will be leading a manufacturing program from the design stage to the end of production and service life.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Primary interface between the Company and Customer for a manufacturing program to ensure customer satisfaction
- Handles any changes related to the manufacturing program such as customer engineering changes, supplier requested changes to a component or mfg. process, internal mfg. process changes, etc.
- Prepares and leads quote activities for responsible programs
- Establishes program timelines and ensures that milestones are met
- Leads APQP process as well as assists and solves technical issues as they arise
- Assists Program Managers in other regions if the program is a global program
- Establishes SOR for manufacturing process equipment and leads RFQ process
- Travels to customer locations for presentations and program meetings as required
- Adhere to all rules and regulations of SHW
- Any other reasonable request made by Management
Demonstrated Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years automotive experience, OEM(s), Tier 1 & Tier II
- Must have worked a minimum of 2 years in a previous program manager position
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and /or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of ISO 9002 or TS 16949 ability to write procedures and work instructions
- Experience with electrohydraulic products would be an asset
- Excellent communication skills dealing with Customers & Suppliers both internal & external
- Experienced with MS Office and Project software
- German language knowledge would be an asset
- Selfstarter with a positive attitude
- Ability to travel internationally
- Ability to work a flexible schedule if required
