The Assistant Dean, Recruitment and Admissions provides overall leadership to the UBC Sauder School of Business related to undergraduate and graduate recruitment and admissions.
This role provides high-level oversight to all marketing, recruitment, and admissions activities as well as oversight of the operational functions within UBC Sauder.
The Assistant Dean develops strategic partnerships with UBC central units, other UBC faculties, business partners, and vendors and is highly visible to the external community.
Organizational StatusReports to the Senior Associate Dean, Research at a strategic level.
Provides strategic leadership and direction to the full recruitment and admissions team to maximize relationships, ensure consistency of effort and overall effectiveness of all teams in fulfilling the UBC Sauder mandate.
Cultivates collaborative working relationships with senior members of other UBC Sauder units and the UBC community whose activities focus on efforts to effectively support the University's international undergraduate and graduate enrolment targets.
Work Performed- Develops and leads the implementation of short- Develops vision and strategy for new and innovative recruitment plans (such as new markets and demographics), and proactively leads the identification of key markets, student populations, and under-utilized areas both domestically and internationally.- Navigates a complex business and educational enterprise and is responsible for identifying and evaluating local, national and international opportunities, and developing and implementing strategic business expansion initiatives accordingly for recruitment. Manages the development of the marketing strategies for undergraduate and professional graduate certificates, diplomas, and degrees, including launching new programs to market as needed.
