Description

The Relief Linehaul Driver drives to/from customer locations and safely operates company vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, 5-ton vehicles, shunt trucks, etc.) and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.) to pick up and deliver freight to/from customer locations and meet service level agreements. Covers driving routes and pickups / deliveries for Linehaul Drivers and Linehaul Drivers Pickup & Delivery, which may be in any shift.

Responsibilities

Drive to/from customer locations and safely operate company vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, 5-ton vehicles, shunt trucks, etc.) and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.) to pick up and deliver freight to/from customer locations and meet service level agreements
Resolves problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch
Picks up, delivers, and loads/unloads freight at customer locations
Scans freight upon pickup and delivery
Conducts vehicle inspections (tractor - 20-minute pre-trip, 15-minute post-trip; trailer – 15-minute pre-trip per trailer)

Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record
3 years of Class 1 driving experience
