Primary Job Functions:

̈ Setup and build desktops, laptops, peripherals, mobile devices and network equipment for local and remote locations. Includes the installation of applicable software and images as required.

̈ Responsible for the deployment of equipment to staff, and the collection of equipment upon the separation or replacement of staff.

̈ Responsible for IT asset management of PC and other IT equipment, ensuring all equipment is properly asset tagged and recorded. Newly issued software must be properly licensed, with any discrepancies reported to the Computer Operations Manager.

̈ Responsible for management of branch phone systems.

̈ Responsible for coordinating disposal of retired equipment.

̈ Provide end-user desktop support for current supported versions of desktop software and operating systems.

̈ Troubleshoot basic networking issues covering DNS, routers, switches, ISP services, etc.

̈ Troubleshoot and resolve malware and security issues for infected end user devices.

̈ Maintain a strong understanding of Active Directory to ensure the user's computers and accounts comply with our environment.

̈ Support users locally, remotely, and by travelling to remote locations when required.

̈ Create end user focused training materials and support documentation as new tools are deployed.

̈ Utilize Aegion's IT Helpdesk software to document and track customer requests or issues.

̈ Other IT-related duties may be assigned sometimes.


Required Skills:

̈ Windows 10,11 and Apple iOS experience required. Windows Server experience required.

̈ Strong analytical skills (i.e., technical, and non-technical problem-solving skills).

̈ High level of personal credibility and integrity.

̈ Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.

̈ Attention to detail is critical to success in this position.

̈ Skilled at resolving software and hardware issues.

̈ Must excel in a high-demand, fast-paced environment.

̈ Must interact with end users in a courteous and professional manner.

̈ Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to convey technical issues in non-technical terms

̈ Must be able to work with limited supervision.


Education / Experience:


  • Technical Diploma or degree, in a relevant technical field.
  • Microsoft Certification (MCSE) preferred but not required.
  • 5+ years of experience in Helpdesk or Desktop support roles.

Work Status:

Full time - Salaried

Work Location:


Primary Location:
Edmonton, AB branch office.

Secondary Location:
Work From Home available up to two days a week

Alternate Azuria Locations as needed.


Travel:

Ability to travel within the USA 3-5 times/year


Reporting:

Reports to IT Operations Manager


Supervisor Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

It is important to note that this position may serve as a team lead role on projects and that individuals from the business and IT may be accountable to this position during the project.


Pay:
$70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
