Description

We are looking for a
Supervisor who has an experience as a
Sewing Machine Operator for our client located in
Mississauga.

The company is in the business of making commercial banners.

Responsibilities:

Supervisor for our afternoon shift that will oversee employees.
Must have previous Supervisor experience.
Meet production deadlines & Issuing assignments.
Problemsolving sewing projects & Quality control
Understanding how to read and interpret industrial designs for staff.
Translating design patterns to sewers
Collection of staff job tickets
Prior experience with industrial sewing (canvas, vinyl, fabric, tarps, and other materials).
Working experience with Juki sewing machines
Working Knowledge of single + double needle, long arm, serge, and fabric cutter.
Attention to stitching detail and measurements.
Measuring and marking materials.
Cutting/trimming of materials & RF welding/vinyl seeming.
Pushing, pulling, lifting, assembling, folding, and packing of products for shipping (up to 50 lbs. on occasion).
Inventory control reporting.

Requirements:

Previous Team Leader experience.
Able to work the hours necessary to complete projects by the deadline (this may occasionally require working additional hours or weekend work, but we try our best to avoid this)
Effective Communicator
The Team leader will report and be directed by the daytime management on all assignment projects for completion.
WHMIS certification
First aid workplace certification
Forklift (electric) operator experience
Safety Glasses, gloves, and work shoes to be worn on site.

Location:
Mississauga

Shift Timings: 4pm start (8hrs shift)

Pay Rate:
$20.00 to $22.00 per hour.

Salary:
$20.00-$22.00 per hour
