Job Information:

This position is located at the NTHSSA - Dehcho Regional office, situated in the Nahendeh Building, in Fort Simpson.

This position will provide administrative and clerical support for the Executive Assistant (EA), Chief Executive Officer (COO), and Management staff, at the NTHSSA - Dehcho Regional Office.

Reporting to the Executive Assistant or designate, this position will provide administrative and office management support to the Executive Assistant, Chief Operating Officer, and Management staff to ensure that the functions of the Authority are carried out effectively and efficiently in accordance with Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) procedures, directives and office protocols.

  • Good interpersonal, conflict resolution skills and verbal communication skills needed to maintain a professional manner in all situations
  • Written communication skills needed to format and compile information accurately
  • Time management skills to effectively set priorities, meet deadlines and complete daily tasks in order of importance while dealing with competing priorities, on daytoday basis
  • Ability to remain calm and cordial when faced with difficult clients
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally to a variety of audiences with varying levels of background, knowledge and education
  • Ability to work independently or with a team, in a cooperative manner, within a fast paced environment

Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by:

This level of knowledge is commonly acquired through the successful completion of a Diploma in Office Administration and computer courses, or equivalent training and work experience and a minimum of three years working with Management.
