Transportation Freight Analyst

Reporting to the Manager, Transportation Planning, you will support the department by being a freight rate specialist on areas of standard freight, invoice error resolutions, freight analytics, budget and reporting.

About the Role- Ensure freight bill processing from the various transport service providers are received, audited, and processed in a timely and accurate manner- Administer, update and maintain all standard freight rates (Logistics Average Freight Rate, Standard Freight Rate and Keg Standard Rates)- Provide freight cost estimates using contracted rates as requested by Category or Inventory management team- Provide actual freight calculation on received products as requested and update system accordingly- Determine and communicate monthly fuel and bunker surcharge to all carriers Monitor, manage, & resolve freight payment issues and rating errors either internally or with the transport service provider- Identify trends and resolve root causes of freight payment discrepancies- Generate periodic financial freight reports including freight budget and variances- Coordinate with IT on various system issues and perform testing/validation on IT fixes- Perform ad-hoc freight analysis and carrier statement reviews- Generate reports that provide deeper analytics to support business needs and providing additional derived opportunities

About You- Bachelor's Degree in logistics, supply chain or related business discipline. Preferably with Professional Designations in Logistics/Supply Chain Management (CITT, CSCP, P.

Log)- Minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience in logistics or transportation environment from a retail/wholesale or supply chain organization- Strong project management skills and data analysis capabilities- Detail oriented and ability to organize and prioritize work- Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office 365 (MS Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Share Point)- Excellent problem solving and process improvement skills- Team player and be able to work independently to resolve issues- Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast paced, time sensitive and high-transaction volume environmentPlease submit your resume via Workday by 11:59pm on the deadline date.
