The Company
Quest Window Systems Inc ("Quest") is a manufacturer of a window wall system designed for high-rise residential developments, based in Toronto, Ontario Canada.
Quest services clients from all over North America, including major metropolitan areas such as New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Toronto and Vancouver.
Purpose:
The MTO Coordinator will be responsible for material take offs by project for our major commodities to be ordered by Procurement for our Mississauga and Texas facilities.
Communication and feedback with the Project Managers to review requirements and questions is essential for an accurate material take off.
This position also provides support to other Supply Chain departments, Scheduling, Production, Drafting & On-Site Window Installation by drawing review, brake shape releases and pick list releases for production and service orders.
Primary Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):
- Assist in reviewing drawings for material takeoff. Read soft drawings for windows, interpret, and enter all measurements into an excel sheet.
- Create extrusion pick lists for production from construction drawings or other documents.
- Post service order requirements where needed.
- Process orders into Quest Tools quickly, accurately, and efficiently to meet required cut off times and deadlines.
- Interpret data to be entered accurately.
- Participate in the production hand off and daily huddle meetings.
- Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- High school diploma with at least 1year relevant experience or a college graduate with engineering or architectural background.
- Intermediate user of Microsoft Excel.
- Able to multitask, remain calm yet maintain sense of urgency for all requests
- Ability to work cooperatively with others to achieve shared goals, as well as the ability to work well independently
- Ability and willingness to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and undertake new challenges
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to read 2dimensional drawing
- Computer experience, accuracy in numeric typing and good mathematical understanding
- AutoCAD certification/intermediate knowledge
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication abilities and skills to prioritize activities to complete tasks effectively.
