Your role:


The IT Coordinator is responsible for overseeing overall Budget management and supports IT project management responsibilities at Acadian Seaplants Limited.

Your principal responsibilities include acquisition, implementation and operation of hardware, vendor management of Software upgrades/licenses and contractor oversight.

Addition responsibilities include adoption training for system improvements, device/video conferencing optimization and organizational communication on IT initiatives across the organization.


Accountabilities:


  • Responsible for overall ISIT budget management which includes contract management, PO development, spending control on software and Scope of work approvals.
  • Provides project management and leadership on IT initiatives that include project identification, project approvals, staffing/contractor requirements.
  • Advises management in planning related to new or upgrades to hardware and software.
  • Manages onboarding IT across organization and recommended training.
  • Effectively communicates relevant IT information across the organization. Includes training plans, process improvements and change management.
  • Support evolution to more Selfhelp solutions across Acadian. This will include adoption of Help desk solutions, Sharepoint, PowerBI reporting tools.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the company has appropriate mobile communication in place globally.
  • Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain a high level of current technology by reading technology periodicals, evaluating new technologies and attending tradeshows, technical seminars and training sessions.
  • Support the company's vision and policies regarding Health & Safety and Corporate Culture by displaying the appropriate behaviors toward meeting the company's objectives in these areas.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Postsecondary program in computer science or an associated discipline
  • An ability to prioritize in a multitasking environment with deadlines and pressure and to communicate with internal and external contacts in a professional manner.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with peers, internal and external customers, and IT partners.
