Job Overview:


The Canadian Association for Supported Employment (CASE) is looking for a Content Writer who is committed to our shared goal of increasing employment equity for Canadians who experience disability.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Write engaging, researchbased content that reflects the needs, interests, and values of CASE members and multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Edit and proofread content meant for external stakeholders.
  • Promote CASE initiatives via web based and print strategies, including social media.
  • Be familiar with the 9 Guiding Principles, CASE's commitment to accessibility, relevant project briefs, and CASE's branding guidelines.
  • Develop and curate content in collaboration with multiple parties and/or from preexisting resources for CASE's communications platforms.
  • Maintain a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all CASE communications.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to adapt to changing demands and ensure that the content development process runs smoothly.
  • Perform regular website text change requests, coordinating with project teams and website developers as needed.
  • In collaboration with CASE project directors, develop project reports for funders and public audiences.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely implementation of communication projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:


  • Excellent communication skills able to succinctly communicate complex topics across a variety of mediums.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using plain language.
  • Capacity to adapt writing style for different audiences and communication materials, for example annual general reports, social media posts, web page content.
  • Demonstrated history of writing relevant and engaging content for webbased platforms
  • Ability to develop and manipulate content using a variety of technology including: SharePoint, MS Office etc.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced, collaborative environment.
  • Commitment to communicate in an open, clear and consistent manner with team members.

Qualifications:


  • Relevant communications degree
  • 35 years of experience in a similar role

Hours of Work and Salary:


  • This is a fulltime (37.5 hours / week) permanent position.
  • The rate of pay is $32/hour.
  • The position also includes 3 weeks paid vacation / year plus 4% RRSP matching and Health Benefits after 3 months.
