Warehouse Manager Job Summary

We are an adaptable, customer-focused, fast-paced team looking for energetic people who would like to have a rare opportunity to join one of Canada's fastest growing companies.

Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinating and prioritizing the activities of the warehouse employees including shipping, receiving, picking and assigning and distributing pick tickets
Manage the daytoday operations of the warehouse
Lead and develop Assistant Warehouse Manager and Warehouse Leads
Overseeing the hiring and training of new warehouse employees
Creating and implementing documented warehouse standard operating procedures
Solve complex inventory/customer issues and internal escalations
Analyze and draw insights from data and workflows to improve warehouse processes
Liaise with cross functional stakeholders to continuously improve logistics
Assist in the hiring process for all warehouse staff
Enforce performance management and corrective action measures of warehouse staff when needed
Ensuring that all standard operating procedures are adhered to on a daily basis

Skills and Qualifications

Postsecondary education
15+ years of relevant professional work experience in a warehouse/distribution environment
10+ years of experience in a leadership role in a warehouse/distribution environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook specifically)
Experience with ERP and WMS (a must)
Warehouse Machine certified in Reach Truck, Order Picker and Walkie (an asset)
In depth knowledge of Ontario Health and Safety Rules and Regulations including warehouse equipment safety procedures
Proven track record of building functioning teams
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and followup skills required
Good written and oral communication skills
Effective time management, attention to detail and a sense of urgency
