The Refrigeration/HVAC Journeyman (Journeyperson) is responsible for providing installation, preventive maintenance, service, and repair on refrigeration and air conditioning equipment in a commercial and industrial setting while show casing exceptional customer service skills.
Servicing new and existing accounts by analyzing work orders, investigating complaints, identifying solutions, conducting tests, and resolving problems;Troubleshooting issues with all commercial and industrial HVAC / Refrigeration equipment;
Installing or retrofitting equipment as per specifications, customer requests, blueprints or the current building / plumbing codes;
Inspecting product quality and installation to ensure conformance and customer satisfaction;
Documenting service and installation actions by completing electronic forms, reports, logs, and records;
Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Journeyman (Journeyperson) Certification required;
Available for rotating on call shifts;
HVAC/R experience in a commercial setting such as grocery stores or chillers is an asset;
Gas A is an asset;
Valid class 5 driver's license with an acceptable 5-year driver's abstract;
Gas or boiler experience is an asset;
Valid safety certifications such as First Aid, WHMIS, TDG, CSTS, PSTS, Fall Protection, AWP, H2S Alive, Elevated Work Platform, Energy Safety Canada are considered an asset.
