Position Summary


Join our team as the Partnerships Coordinator, reporting to the Director, Partnerships, and be a vital contributor to Health Research BC's strategic partnerships.

As the point person for administering partnered awards, you will ensure seamless operations while nurturing relationships with external organizations.

This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who excels at coordinating tasks and collaborating with various teams across the organization.

By leveraging your administrative expertise and keeping a keen eye on relationship management, you will play a crucial role in supporting our partnership plan and driving our strategy forward.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepares and/or reviews partnership agreements, award packages and other documents that support the lifecycle of a partnership. Maintains document templates and creates new templates as required.
  • Monitors and administers partnered awards and partnerships in line with established award conditions and partnership agreements.
  • Reviews partner financial commitments and processes partnered award reports (written and financial); recommends appropriate next steps.
  • Liaises with partners and researchers to ensure that the terms of the partnership and/or partnered award are being fulfilled.
  • Tracks and processes partnership requests; conducts preliminary assessments and makes recommendations.
  • Utilizes the organization's technological platforms including the grant management system (GMS), customer relationship management (CRM) software and Power BI analytical tool to support the daytoday activities.
  • Contributes to and/or leads the configuration, development, testing and implementation of partnership processes and programs in the GMS and CRM.
  • Contributes to and/or leads the configuration, testing, implementation and improvement of partnership analytics through Power BI.
  • Identifies opportunities for, and coordinates and/or leads as required, projects that improve partnership workflows and strengthen data integrity within the various technological platforms.
  • Creates and updates user guides and related materials to enable streamlined processes and support the use of technological platforms for partnership activities.
  • Supports the Director, Partnerships in developing and sustaining relationships with current and prospective partner organizations including responsibility for, but not limited to:
  • Tracking and recording the partnership status and related information, ensuring relationships are continuously maintained.
  • Outreach activities with stakeholder organizations, as appropriate.
  • Coordinates and assists with planning partnershiprelated events, in collaboration with internal teams and partner organizations.
  • Plans and schedules meetings, in consultation with the Director, Partnerships. Responsible for preparing agendas and meeting materials, undertaking related research, recording meeting notes and appropriate followup.
