Hours of Work: 10:30 am to 7:00 pm


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Experience with preparing, packaging, and shipping materials
o Pack materials and products for distribution to our customers

o Performs basic quality control checks including package counts and evaluating product or package appearance

  • Reads shipping orders to determine quantity and type of transportation needed
  • Ability to support shipping domestic and international
o Selects carrier and electronically makes shipping arrangements and issues instructions for loading customer orders

  • Performs other clerical tasks such as typing correspondence, documentation organization
o Manage and file all BOLS/Aspect/Matrix/Loblaws and cross-dock paperwork, as well as scanning all shipping documents into system each day

o Take care of customers when they arrive for their customer pickup orders

o Ensure that ASNs are submitted daily, and filed accordingly (acceptions and errors)

o Maintains CHEP pallet accounts

o Order and keep track of all office supplies needed to perform the job, including ink cartridges and toner

  • Ensure that all warehouse equipment and tools are properly utilized to increase productivity and efficiency
  • Utilize proper techniques for lifting, packing, and handling heavy objects, proper cutting techniques, reaching and pushing/pulling
  • Ensure that your work area is neat, safe, organized and packing materials always restocked
  • Operating machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks and lift trucks to move materials
o Load trucks as they arrive each day (ATS, Purolator, Aspect/Matrix/Loblaws etc.)

o Responsible for the careful handling of merchandise always

  • Consistently meet minimum required production, accuracy or quality standards for work performed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school education
  • Computer knowledge (MS Office, AS400, HighJump, RF scanning equipment)
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Work effectively and efficiently with mínimal supervision
  • Good customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Experience with AS400, HighJump and RF scanning or similar shipping modules
  • Experience working with drivers/ carriers
  • FedEx, UPS etc customers and warehouse personnel.
  • Ability to operate a pallet wrapper
  • Certified to use walkie at a minimum, forklift and walkie certificate preferred
