IT Support Specialist - Québec, Canada - InterRent REIT
Description
Our regional office is located in downtown Montreal.
We are seeking an individual with extensive experience in a helpdesk environment providing support for all things IT including desktop, mobile and network devices.
Responsibilities will include:
- Troubleshooting support calls relating technical problems in a desktop support environment;
- Providing onsite support at all Greater Montreal area offices;
- Setting up new PC workstations, printers and other peripherals;
- Troubleshooting PC hardware and operating system software in a network/AD domain environment;
- Troubleshooting low voltage equipment such as Access Control, Intercom and DVR systems
- Troubleshooting all support calls from a ticket queue submitted by endusers
- Support of wireless telecom devices including user support, hardware provisioning (IOS, Android)
- Assisting with the maintenance and support of all servers and network equipment;
- Assisting with projects as required;
- Assisting with wireless telecom user support and hardware provisioning;
- Creating documentation and/or revising training manuals;
- Maintaining asset tracking;
- Coordinating troubleshooting techniques with IT colleagues;
- Researching new technologies and/or products, and
- Repairing and/or coordinating repair of hardware devices.
- Assuming additional responsibilities and completing special projects as needed or directed.
Qualifications:
- Fluently bilingual in French and English
- Experience with all variations of Windows Desktop OS (10, 11)
- Experience with Low Voltage devices
- Understanding of Windows Server (2008, 2012,2016), Group policies, Active Directory
- Understanding of Office 36
- Experience with troubleshooting iOS devices
- Thorough understanding of IP networking
- Outstanding people skills and customer service skills orientation
- Able to handle rapidly changing priorities, high visibilityhigh stress situations
- Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills
- Excellent research skills
Must Haves:
- Experience with Cloud Computing concepts
- Microsoft or other industry recognized training and/or certification
- A+ certification
- Experience with Linux
- Offsite travel will be required
- Corporate hours are 8:30am5:00pm and overtime/oncall may be required on occasion.
