General Maintenance Best Western Hotel
The Maintenance Worker will be responsible for performing general building and property maintenance.

The Maintenance Worker shall also be responsible for keeping buildings in a clean and orderly condition and will perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.

Additional duties may include performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalks.

The Maintenance Worker shall ensure that the grounds are maintained appropriately.

Duties Include:


  • Troubleshooting minor maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing and equipment repair or replacement.
  • Performing preventive building maintenance duties.
  • Performing routine plumbing repairs for toilets, sinks, urinals, water leaks, faucets and water fountains.
  • Performing routine electrical repairs such as changing light bulbs, replacing ballasts and lights fixtures.
  • Assembling and move furniture.
  • Repairing and replacing doorknobs, locks, door closures and install drywall.
  • Painting interior, exterior walls and hanging wallpaper.
  • Light repairs to drywall
  • Pool, Sauna Maintenance
  • Maintaining a safe environment for guests and employees
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language in person and over the radios.
  • Performing additional duties as requested by Management.

Required Skills:


  • Knowledge of trades related to building maintenance and repair.
- knowledge of a variety of building maintenance procedures and techniques.

  • Knowledge of machinery, equipment and tools necessary for the maintenance and repair of public buildings.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance

Qualifications:


  • High School degree, diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
  • 2year minimum experience as a maintenance worker.
  • Maintenance in a hotel environment preferred.

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 20-30 per week


Salary:
From $17.00-$18.50 per hour based on experience.
