Business Analyst

Temporary (2 yrs.), Full-Time - 35 hours per week

$85, ,434 / annum


We are currently recruiting for a Temporary, full-time Business Analyst for a 2-year term to join our Integrated Business Solutions team.


About this Opportunity:
The Business Analyst reports directly to the Manager of Integrated Business Solutions. This position is responsible for supporting the adoption and continued growth of the organization's Workday ERP implementation.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with HR and Finance Business Process Administrators to understand the business context, particularly in the domains of Finance (Cash, Receipts, AR, AP, Procurement, Projects and Budgeting), Payroll (Canada), HCM, Absence, Compensation, Benefits, Recruitment, Time Tracking, Learning, and/or Talent & Performance, to translate business requirements into system solutions that will effectively support programs and policies.
  • Leverages business knowledge and expertise to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Gather and define business requirements, providing advice and guidance that follow effective design principles and guidelines.
  • Ensure cross functional system impacts are considered in your design and have an endtoend business process perspective to your recommended solutions, which include reporting and workflow impacts.
  • Follow strong governance around documentation of systems changes.
  • Partner closely with the Business Process Administrators and the Application Support team to design, develop, test and implement related or interfaced solutions.
  • Configure, test and implement approved business requirement changes.
  • Work with Business Process Administrators to identify, review, test and implement biannual Workday releases including analysis to determine impact and opportunities to improve business processes.
  • Participate in the development of training and adoption strategies.
  • Stay abreast of new functionality and roadmap features that would support Finance and HR program strategies or provide an overall enhanced user experience, suggesting to Finance and HR process owners opportunities to leverage Workday to support their programs.
  • Assist with resolving support tickets as well as ongoing system improvement tasks.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Business or a related program.
  • A postsecondary diploma and equivalent years of related work experience will also be considered.
  • A minimum of five (5) years' ERP experience supporting HR and Finance business functions
  • A minimum of three (3) years' Workday functional Finance experience in the areas of:
  • Financial Accounting
  • Adaptive Planning
  • Bank Statement Reconciliation
  • Procurement
  • Expenses
- and/or_

  • A minimum of three (3) years' Workday functional Human Resources experience in the areas of:
  • Core HCM
  • Payroll (Canada)
  • Absence
  • Core Compensation
  • Compensation
  • Benefits
  • Recruitment
  • Time Tracking
  • Talent & Performance
  • Learning
  • A thorough understanding of documenting and communicating through use cases, process models, business requirement documents and various other artifacts
  • A business analysis certification along with experience using frameworks such as TOGAF (specifically Business and Information Systems domains) would be considered an asset.
  • Must be willing to provide a current Criminal Records Check at own expense
