Description

The Procurement System Analyst is responsible for providing leadership and execution with respect to the systems on which Procurement relies, including system configuration, maintenance and continuous improvement, and the related data, procedures, usability and testing.

The Analyst supports a wide assortment of Non-Merchandise Procurement (NMP) processes which in turn support initiatives across Canadian Tire Corporation (CTC).


What you will do

  • The Procurement System Analyst processes various support requests which may include changes in configurations or data within any NMP system such as Coupa, Ariba, the spend cube, etc.
  • Assists functional team with business process reviews, analyze and confirms business requirements and controls.
  • Participates in workshops, prepares functional specifications and documentation in a timely basis for both completed and planned configuration changes
  • Investigate and research problems or errors, troubleshoot issues, and assist with the resolution.
  • Participates in development of test criteria, develop test scripts and test cases to support.
  • Assist with implementation and support
  • Performs knowledge transfer for the various systems
  • Designs, develops, reviews, and tests reports to meet specific needs
  • Support users within NMP as well as users at large who are authorized to interface with these systems
  • Track continuous improvement ideas, enhancements and expandeduse opportunities, and proactively advocate for their implementation
  • Work closely with the IT department to develop and maintain a positive relationship with support desk and development staff for addressing any identified defects
  • Liaise and collaborate with
  • Software vendors on functionality in course of routine or issuerelated use of their tools
  • Accounting and with businesses to determine the best source of data for analysis, compile that data, understand how it is used and assess its reliability for drawing insights
  • Finance on projects that have accounts payable workflow / data implications
  • Formulate, document, execute and communicate standards related to the systems and master data
  • Support the team with procurement responsibilities as needed (master data understanding, data maintenance, procurement tool and database administration)
  • Formulate and draft communications, guidance and training materials related to the system, data and controls under the Analyst's purview

What you bring
years experience as a System Analyst/ Procurement Support Specialist or similar

  • Experience with Coupa, Ariba or other bestofbreed procurement system would be an asset
  • High degree of selfmotivated curiosity to learn new systems, drive enhancements, and learn from rootcause troubleshooting tasks
  • Experience reviewing business processes, implementing workflows to improve business process
  • Experience with reporting tools and developing reports in a variety of systems
  • Experience in testing computer software, creating test cases
  • Ability to work independently and ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to create and update advanced documentation, and provide knowledge transfer
  • Must possess strong communication skills including presentations
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships, collaborate with, and maintain a service orientation towards a diverse group of professional, technical, and clerical personnel, and elicit support to drive ongoing system and procedural efficiencies
  • Aptitude to master new tools and become a superuser on which the rest of the team relies
