Description

This is a contractual role for a period of 6 months with the potential for extension or full-time employment. This is a Hybrid position working out of our client site based in Toronto.

What will you do?

Reviewing functional and design specifications to ensure a full understanding of what we build and how to test it.
Developing, documenting, and maintaining functional test cases and other test artifacts like test data, data validation, and automated scripts.
Strong testing experience both manually and using automation tools and scripting
Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results/bugs.
Work closely with developers, test engineers, project manager, client, and other stakeholders throughout the SDLC, executing automated test iterations, tracking & reporting test results, and troubleshooting and coordinating the bug fixes.
Experience in using test case development tools, linking test cases to requirements, defect management, and metrics reporting

(Example:

Jira or HP ALM)

Experience or knowledge of SQL, SVN / Git, MySql, etc.
Programming languages experience (i.e. Java, JavaScript)

What do you need to succeed?

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited institution with 4+ years of relevant experience as a QA Analyst.
Relevant work experience in development and/or testing roles.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate efficiently with clients.
Good development/scripting skills in common languages such as Java, and JavaScript with , PHP, Python, Ruby, C#, or Perl.
Expertise in practical knowledge of automated testing tools using
selenium.
Should be selfmotivated, creative, and proactive, to work successfully in a fastpaced environment.
Should have a strong understanding of agile processes and the related QA lifecycle and automation methodology
Knowledge & Experience of JIRA.
