What You Will Be Doing:

This role oversees Payroll administration alongside people operations tasks related to onboarding, offboarding, and people systems.

Reporting to our Financial Controller with a dotted line to our President, this role ensures our people are paid accurately and on time, and that they are smoothly welcomed and set up as members of our team.

This person functions as the key point of contact for team members and people managers at Pacific Solutions Contracting.

You will be a trusted go-to person within our team, taking care of employee administration questions and issues related to pay and benefits, and helping to improve and manage our people systems and processes.


  • Process biweekly payroll for approximately 40 staff
  • Work with Finance team to address daytoday issues related to payroll
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory remittances
  • Lead administration of health benefits for our growing team
  • Respond to routine employee questions related to their pay and benefits administration
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding tasks related to employee information, pay, and benefits
  • Continue to the evaluation and continuous improvement of our people operations related programs, policies, processes, and technologies including benefits selection, HRIS implementation, employee time and leave records, and other records management
  • Act as admin and key point of contact for peoplerelated systems, troubleshooting issues, managing updates, and ensuring data integrity

What You Bring To The Team:

  • Training in payroll and payroll systems with 3+ years experience overseeing payroll, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Experience tracking and managing employee onboarding and offboarding tasks
  • Previous experience with ADP is ideal
  • Previous experience with benefits administration preferred
  • Previous experience with HR systems troubleshooting and systems improvements preferred
  • Experience within a construction company is helpful, but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Accurate and efficient data entry skill
  • Highly responsive and approachable, with a strong customer service orientation
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive when working independently, taking initiative wherever possible
  • A passion for taking care of those essential details that give teammates peace of mind, and help the team run smoothly

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 20 per week


Salary:
$45,576.65-$66,480.94 per year
