KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Manage sales strategies for the Maritimes Utilities market focussed on ensuring
_Noramco _becomes the premiere utility suppler in the Maritimes (70%);

Manage local vendor relationships to ensure
_Noramco Utilities_ is viewed as a prominent partner for utilities wire and cable. Large projects and branch inventories will be leveraged with strategic vendor partners to ensure we consistently receive competitive pricing (20%);

Work in conjunction the Quebec PC Manager to ensure an efficient flow of inventory is maintained (10%).


DUTIES:

  • Ensure all job functions are performed in accordance to the NCS International Standard Practice Instruction (SPI) Manual;
  • Manages the Maritimes Operations that supports our Utility business;
  • Works with Utilities National Director to develop meaningful strategies for key customers;
  • Deal with every escalated customer complaint in an expedient manner and ensure they are satisfied with our resolve;
  • Identify and help develop internal/external opportunities to further enable profitable sales growth of the department. Opportunities include but are not limited to product, customer, processes, resources, equipment, etc;
  • Assist in building strong customer relationships with senior management at key customer accounts;
  • Build strong vendor relationships;
  • Manage sales and expense budgets to realize our annual forecasted objectives;
  • Work with the Utilities Director to manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction;
  • Work with others on the _Noramco Utilities_ team to provide consistent and accurate sales forecasting;
  • Assist the Utilities Director to compile information and data related to customer and prospect interactions;
  • Contact current and prospective clients to identify their need for existing and/or new products;
  • Respond to and processes incoming inquiries and orders;
  • Coordinate the opening of new accounts and maintain the existing customer base in your territory;
  • Provide basic technical support on products when customer inquiries are directed to you;
  • Build strong, longterm customer relationships focused on ensuring repeat opportunities, which may include the following:
  • Developing customer appreciation events;
- o Participating in customer-hosted employee events;
- o Coordinating vendor-sponsored activities;

  • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to the management team;
  • Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities;
  • Travel for inperson meetings with customers and partners to develop key relationships;
  • Performs any other duties as required by management.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

  • Minimum five (5) years of industry experience preferable, or a combination of relevant experience and education
  • Bilingual :French / English
  • Solid understanding of financial management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High level of critical thinking and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to address problems and opportunities for the company
  • Energetic and positive attitude, dependable, organized and deadline oriented
  • Stress tolerance
  • Advanced computer skills and knowledge
