Overview
The Corporate Communications and Community Engagement Student will be required to work remotely and on-site at the hospital as needed.
MGH has robust Occupational Health and Safety policies in place for all employees to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Primary ResponsibilitiesStorytelling and Content Creation
- Increase awareness of MGH's and ETHP's healthrelated programs, services, partnerships, research and people through the development of stories, graphics, flyers and other communications assets
- Leverage a variety of multimedia platforms to develop, distribute and evaluate content and increase engagement
- Write, edit and update content for MGH's corporate website and intranet, and ETHP's corporate website, and provide support on client requests and updates
- Support with communications planning efforts on MGH's and ETHP's corporate campaigns and developing assets that contribute to the successful execution of campaigns
- Use data and analytics to evaluate success of content and campaigns and identify opportunities for improvement and increase engagement
- Assist with media relations and coordinating media requests for MGH and ETHP
- Support the design and development of content on MGH's and ETHP's social media platforms
- Support the implementation of special projects, events and other assignments as required
Experience
- Excellent written, listening and presentation skills
- Positive team player who works collaboratively with stakeholders across the hospital, OHT and community
- Highly motivated and demonstrated success in taking initiative and problem solving
- Proven ability to work in a fastpaced environment and effectively manage multiple competing requests with great attention to detail
- Present ideas and communication plans clearly and articulately to key audiences
- Maintains professionalism and represents the hospital and OHT with diplomacy
- Knowledge and experience using Canva, WordPress, Drupal and/or social media considered an asset
- Basic knowledge of video filming and editing considered an asset
