    Description
    GFL Environmental is in search of a skilled Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic to join the team in Victoria, British Columbia.

    Shift Schedule
    • 4*10 hour shifts

    Key Responsibilities
    • Lead and oversee the shop, manage employee schedules, and assign work
    • Handle inventory control system for equipment and parts
    • Obtain quotes, process repair orders, and manage invoices efficiently
    • Operate, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks and equipment
    • Repair diesel, CNG, gas, and electrically operated equipment
    • Experience with engine drive, welding, hydraulics, and electrical systems
    • Skilled in diagnostics for large equipment
    • Basic computer skills desirable
    • Perform specialty builds & engine builds
    • Utilize various tools and equipment
    • Maintain tools necessary for equipment maintenance
    • Reliable, responsible, and dedicated to assigned tasks
    • Perform additional duties as needed

    Requirements
    • Must be a Red Seal Certified Heavy Duty Mechanic
    • Inspection license CDL/ CVI / CN desirable
    • Computer literate with willingness to learn software systems
    • Mining or construction equipment repair experience a bonus
    • Shift work flexibility
