RESPONSIBILITES:


  • The incumbent will be responsible for creating and maintaining master rotations of specific units/programs in consultation with the departments' Clinical Managers.
  • To prepare and distribute unit specific staffing schedules, vacation planners, etc., in advance of posting, while adhering to the specific collective agreement language.
  • Maintain staffing schedules on a day to day basis for accuracy, ensuring unit specific staffing quotas are accurate, and documenting all changes at time of occurence in the electronic scheduling system.
  • To schedule replacement staff according to established collective agreements language and processes.
  • To input/update staff hours in the HRIS as required (sick, vacation, leaves of absences, overtime) in an accurate and timely manner.
  • To demonstrate QCH values, collaboration, accountablity, respect, innovation.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Grade 12 or equivalent education required
  • Minimum of one year current exprience in staffing and scheduling
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, Excel, Word and a Human Resources Information System
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ablility to work effectively in a team environment with frequent disruptions
  • Excellent organizational and time managment skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

PREFERRED:


  • Experience in a computerized scheduling / payroll system in a hosptial setting
  • Postsecondary education from a recognized institution (Business Administration)
