    Description

    Your Opportunity:

    An exciting opportunity exists to be part of the changing landscape of addiction and mental health services in rural Alberta. The North Zone opioid dependency program (ODP) has four sites that you will support virtually. As a member of the multidisciplinary ODP Team, you will be supplying integral clinical support services to the ODP service, team, and clients. Your duties will include assessing clients with chronic and persistent mental illness and concurrent disorders, providing therapeutic interventions, advocating, and supporting clients with psychosocial supports. This position can be located anywhere in the North Zone, but preferred locations include Grande Prairie, High Prairie, Bonnyville or Fort McMurray. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

    Description:

    As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

    Required Qualifications:

    Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

    Additional Required Qualifications:

    As Required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience in addiction and mental health. Experience in opioid agonist therapy.
