The
Accounting Assistant supports the general accounting functions of our Accounting team.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP).
- AR: Issuing bills / invoices to customers.
- AP: Posting subcontractor & supplier invoices.
- Handle occasional mailing/shipping and general office duties.
- Assist in monthend closing.
- Reconcile vendor accounts.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
- Maintain financial documents using a filing system as instructed, electronically or nonelectronically.
- Uphold professionalism by providing courteous customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Highschool diploma
- Accounting / bookkeeping courses an asset
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- General understanding of accounting practices and principles
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Good English skills verbal and written
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial data
- Excellent timemanaging skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Detailoriented & quick learner

$20.00-$22.00 per hour
