We are a Canadian owned and operated company, specializing in commercial renovations, facility maintenance and tenant improvements.

The
Accounting Assistant supports the general accounting functions of our Accounting team.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Support accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP).
  • AR: Issuing bills / invoices to customers.
  • AP: Posting subcontractor & supplier invoices.
  • Handle occasional mailing/shipping and general office duties.
  • Assist in monthend closing.
  • Reconcile vendor accounts.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
  • Maintain financial documents using a filing system as instructed, electronically or nonelectronically.
  • Uphold professionalism by providing courteous customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:


Education:


  • Highschool diploma
  • Accounting / bookkeeping courses an asset

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • General understanding of accounting practices and principles
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Good English skills verbal and written
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial data
  • Excellent timemanaging skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Detailoriented & quick learner
