OVERVIEW:

Alberta Blue Cross has a temporary (12 month) opening for a Data Analyst to join our team.

Reporting to the Business Reporting Manager, the Data Analyst will be quality focused, passionate, a quick learner, self-motivated, analytical and detail oriented.

They will ensure a high caliber of data quality and will support in reporting the status of the deliverables across all stakeholders within the organization.

In this flexible work style arrangement, you will be able to work from home and go into office when required.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:


  • Support the Business Enablement team in providing quality data.
  • Responsible for management of adhoc report inquiries, distribution, and delivery timelines.
  • Assist with advanced adhoc reporting requests.
  • Manage our team's databases.
  • Work closely with our IT teams to identify and gather requirements for selfserve reports and map out data locations.
  • Maintain our team's SharePoint site.
  • Analyze data and reports to prepare presentations.

WHAT YOU WILL HAVE:


  • A degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills; oral and written communication skills and interpersonal.
  • Analytically minded with hands on skills in SQL, MS Office Suite and the ability to work with large and diverse sets of data.
  • Experience in data extraction.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with change and excel in highstress situations.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with varying priority to deliver timely results.
  • Commitment to a highly collaborative team environment including crosstraining and report coverage.
  • Experience with SharePoint is an asset.
