JOB SUMMARY:


Cultural and Heritage Programs is responsible for multi-disciplinary arts centres, heritage and museum facilities and structures, the delivery of arts, heritage and museum public programming and events, volunteer program development, audience development, and exhibits and research.


You are responsible to help children and Instructors with projects and materials, and assist the Instructor with the supervision of children.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


Minimum enrollment in high school participating in one or more of the following arts disciplines: theatre, dance, music, visual, literary, and multi-media arts or related field.

Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing and/or teaching in a related discipline.


CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENCES:

Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates
AODA Customer Service/IASR Training
High Five training courses


KNOWLEDGE:


  • Previous experience working with children in an arts instructional setting.
  • Knowledge of interpretive techniques, of aesthetic and technical concepts, and of handling of program materials in discipline of instruction.
  • Working knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation and of corporate/ departmental policies and procedures related to health and safety.
