Brampton Caledon Community Living is an organization that supports individuals with an intellectual disability in partnership with their families and the community, to lead enriched and meaningful lives.


Presently we are looking for:

FULL-TIME SUMMER SUPPORT WORKERS (June 19 to August 25, 2023)**:

As a summer Support Worker, you will provide support to young adults with an intellectual disability to access work experience and leisure activities in the community.


Duties include:


  • Demonstrating a respectful relationship with each person, recognizing their rights as citizens, and promoting their dignity and wellbeing.
  • Promoting and demonstrating the values of the organization within the volunteer placement in the community.
  • Promoting a safe and healthy volunteer experience for the people supported.
  • Providing ongoing and regular communication with individuals, and their families/advocates.
  • Facilitating the development of social networks for people
  • Promoting the involvement of family, community groups, employers, and others in the community.

Qualifications:


Currently enrolled in a full-time post-secondary educational program, returning to school in September 2023

Must-Have:
_**- Current Standard First Aid/CPR.

  • Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) is an asset
  • An uptodate, Clear Police Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and Internet searches
  • Fluency in French is an asset.
