JOB SUMMARY

The QA/QC Summer Student will assist the Quality Control Team in implementing quality control procedures and standards and support audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

OBJECTIVES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in the implementation of quality control procedures and standards.
Participate in site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Support the Quality Control team in documenting inspection findings and preparing reports.
Collaborate with project teams to identify and address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Assist in reviewing project documents, including plans, specifications, and contracts, to ensure quality requirements are met.
Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality control processes.
Participate in training and development opportunities to deepen understanding of quality control practices in the construction industry.***
REQUIRED SKILLS and PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Currently enrolled in a postsecondary program in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Electrical or Mining.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel)
Flexible to changing priorities and meeting deadlines.
Selfmotivated and a quick learner.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills in a fastpaced environment.
Have reliable transportation as it is a fieldbased position.
Able to successfully meet preemployment alcohol & drug test including cannabis.
Able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Must be immediately eligible/able to work in Canada.
Must be fit for duty.
Safety tickets required: H2S Alive, CSO, CSTS, WHMIS 2015

Travel & Schedule

Working up to 12hrs per day; 14/7 rotating schedule.
Travel Allowance and/or camp accommodation may be provided.***
