JOB SUMMARY

Journeyperson Pipefitters possess the full range of knowledge required to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for oil, steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems.

OBJECTIVES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with, lead and motivate workers under their supervision and that they work around.
Organize self and crew to meet expectations in a safe, professional, and timely manner.
Maintain a strong safety presence and follow Centurions Safety Management Program
Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading valves, and fittings.
Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required.
Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications.
Follow Centurion and Client policies & procedures.

REQUIRED SKILLS and PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess construction and industrial pipefitter experience.
Must be a Certified Pipefitter Journeyperson or registered apprentice.
Must be able to take initiative, work independently as well as in a team.
Must be reliable and dependable (i

e:
punctual and ready to work).

Excellent communication skills.
A demonstrated ability to work safely.
Must be fitforduty.
Able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Must be immediately eligible/able to work in Canada.
Overhead crane and rigging considered an asset
Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc
