Description
Tomlinson Environmental Services is looking to hire a G license class Driver/Helper. This is a full-time year-round position.


Location: 970 Moodie Drive


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Use of pickup truck to move waste and recycle bins out of underground garages to street level
  • Arrange waste bins to be serviced by our Front-End Commercial trucks
  • Assist drivers with moving of waste and recycle bins
  • Perform minor repairs on bins, install locks, and various other customer requests
  • Pull and backup a utility trailer when delivering totes
  • Ensure clean work environment
  • Deliver and remove cartstyle bins at customer sites
  • Perform pre and post trip inspections each day on the assigned vehicle
  • Perform other duties as required

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Knowledge of the waste industry would be considered an asset
  • Must provide reliable transportation to and from work
  • Good customer service skills
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours, possibly weekends or holidays
  • Health and safety conscious and orientated
  • Valid class G driver's license or equivalent

WORKING CONDITIONS:


  • Monday to Friday with start time of 5:00 AM and end at completion of route
  • Working in all weather conditions
  • Long periods spent in a truck
  • Ability to move/lift heavy items up to and possibly over 50 kgs
