RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPERIENCE:


  • This position is to ensure that the material and tools are ready for the crew use
  • Responsible for inspecting and maintaining lifting devices and hand tools. Also, having the ability to notify Foreman defective tools and equipment
  • Familiarity with the process of how pipe is installed is put in the ground and being able to anticipate what is needed to the fellow workers in the trench.
  • Knowledgeable of using a variety of hand tools and ability to cut pipe of various material
  • Read grade stakes and have the ability to set up laser
  • Working knowledge of pipe and fittings utilized in sewer and water main work.
  • Ability to work with others and take direction from the foreman on site
  • Help locate and expose underground utilities by hand
  • Ability to complete work efficiently and correctly with mínimal supervision
  • Work in a safe manner to ensure safety of self and coworkers
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to look ahead
  • Not only limited to above

REQUIREMENTS:


  • 35 years of experience working in a construction industry
  • Valid driver's license with own transportation is required
  • Health and Safety training/Knowledge
  • Confined Space, trenching and excavation, First Aid/CPR an asset
  • Hoisting & Rigging Training
  • Ability to work in all different types of weather conditions
  • Potential for weekend work and working nights as needed
