Hiring Unit:

  • Experimental Medicine_

Position Summary:
Remote learning assistant may be expected to perform some or all of the following duties:

  • Receive PowerPoint presentations from lecturers and upload them on myCourses.
  • If class offered by Zoom, be a cohost on Zoom to ensure a stable connection and provide technical support if necessary.
  • Organize lectures evaluations on google, send link to students during or after lecture and collect the responses.
  • Coordinate tumour boards attendance (send zoom link to students, ensure no more than 2 students attend the same tumour board).
  • Monitor the discussion board on myCourses.
  • Help with exam corrections.

Job requirements:

  • Priority will be given to students who have previously taken the course, EXMD 635D1,D
  • Must have access to a computer and highspeed internet, webcam and microphone
  • Must be willing to learn new software and web tools
  • Must be registered as a full time graduate student at McGill for the year
  • Must be available to work on campus if necessary
  • Must be able to work in local time zone (Eastern Standard Time)
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

  • Prior registration in EXMD 635 D1,D
  • Organization and time management skills
  • Proofreading skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge working with Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Effective communication skills
  • Familiarity with web conferencing technology (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco WebEx)
  • Minimum Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma 2 Years Related Experience
  • Hourly Salary:
