Responsibilities:


  • Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
  • Enforce the Trespass to Property act.
  • Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security if required.
  • Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
  • Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
  • Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes if required.
  • Request emergency personnel for high risk situations

Qualifications:

Use of Force training is required
:


  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or other related fields preferred.
  • Familiarity with security equipment
  • Good knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act.
  • Ability to deal with trespassers as required.
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work 10am to 6pm Mon to Fri

Salary:

From $16.75 per hour


Schedule:

  • Holidays
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Experience:

Tactical Guard: 1 year (preferred)
Ontario Security Guard: 2 years (required)


Licence/Certification:

  • Ontario Security Guard Licence (required)
  • Do you own a working vehicle (preferred)
  • Have you taken a Use of Force training course (required)
  • Are you looking for Full Time (required)
  • Are you able to work 4pm to Midnight Mon to Fri (required)

Shift availability:

  • Night Shift (preferred)
  • Overnight Shift (preferred)
