Collections Manager As a
Collections Manager, you will lead and manage a team of Collectors while working towards reducing customer delinquencies by implementing strategic initiatives, developing and implementing customer contact strategies, and working towards meeting monthly company targets and objectives.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead a team of 1520 Collectors (includes two Supervisors) in a fastpaced, call center environment
  • Monitor, update and enforce company policies and procedures
  • Develop, motivate and mentor direct reports while maintaining positive interactions and promoting a positive Company culture
  • Provide feedback, quality and performance reviews, onthefloor guidance, training, and team support
  • Conduct monthly department audits & maintain employee scorecards
  • Review & recommend quarterly bonuses for team members based on individual, department and Company performance
  • Interact directly with clients in resolving account receivable delinquencies while ensuring professional client relationships are maintained
  • Collaborate with various company departments to seek positive resolutions
  • Strategize work queues according to departmental and Company objectives
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with executive team members, peers and direct reports
  • Manage department escalations while adhering to Company policies & procedures
  • Provide recommendations to upper management on potential account writeoffs as well as identify new trends/risks to the organization.
  • Update & adjust team schedule to ensure adequate coverage for business needs
  • Review vacation requests

Qualifications:


  • Collections experience mandatory (5+ years)
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience with strong coaching, feedback and performance management skills (25 years)
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional Customer Service Experiences
  • Consumer Proposal/Bankruptcy and Paralegal experience is considered a strong asset
  • Experience with Inovatec software platforms considered an asset
  • Exceptional interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English, French is considered an asset
  • Able to work independently in a fastpaced working environment
  • Ability to anticipate department/organizational challenges while recommending and implement strategies
  • Strong relationship building/management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to work accurately and independently
  • Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work to strict deadline while remaining calm under pressure
