Summary

The Vice President of People Success oversees the development of the strategic human resources process.

Serving as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team on human capital topics including employee engagement; talent management; performance management; total rewards; learning and development, and inclusion and diversity.

As the leader of the People Success team, this individual will be a key contributor to the development and implementation of the enterprise people strategy with a focus on designing and delivering employee experiences, which enable our people to feel deeply connected to their role, the company and demonstrate the skills and confidence to perform at their best.

The Vice President of People Success will be a leader of change in the organization and the industry, while representing the best interest of the organizations employees.

Job Duties

Lead the development of the HR strategic planning process:


  • Identify opportunities to improve HR performance, for continuous improvement:

Ensure the development and delivery of annual programs such as leadership development, succession management, learning and development, and performance management:


  • Collaborate and build strategic plans with the leadership team, focused on growth and service expansion:

Build and lead a high performing HR team:


  • Enable a high performing field team with a focus on recruitment and development:

Develop innovative solutions to resource challenges which ensure alignment with and support of strategic goals:


  • Implement HR policies and procedures that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the organization:

Lead workforce transformation and change management initiatives:


  • Support and collaborate with leaders across the company in key areas such as HR operations, employee relations, and talent management:

Direct the organization's change leadership efforts and lead the annual resource planning exercise with the executive team
- **Position Requirements


Requirements:

10-15 years of progressive human resource leadership including experience building, leading and engaging high performing teams
Accomplished in building trusted advisor relationships with senior leaders with the knowledge and confidence to challenge and defend positions
Experience working in construction/demolition an asset
Accomplished in working with business leaders to build out highly engaging and inclusive work environments, which enables employees to perform at their best
Strong business acumen and analytical skills
Experience in change management including supporting leaders and their businesses through the growth
Experience within a unionized environment
Leading Human Resources across North America is an asset

Work Conditions

Ability to work with tight timelines, multiple projects with competing deadlines
Attention to detail and the tenacity to make sure quality standards are high
Ability to work with other disciplines to help remove barriers and optimize performance
