Position Description
We are currently seeking motivated, hardworking individuals for our Class 1Driver role in our Regina location. We are looking someone who can work 10-12 hours a day with daily hauls from Regina to our landfill in Gladmar Saskatchewan hauling waste material _(Garbage, household waste, open a construction and demolition waste recycling facility, Etc.)_


Position Responsibilities

  • Operate and drive Super B OR 53ft trailers
  • Should possess and should be quick learner and ready to work as a team
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled and fuel consumption.
  • Moving Bins, collecting waste, emptying moloks, finding equipment
  • Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods.
  • Communicate with dispatch on a regular basis to ensure delivery is completed
  • Ensure Pretrip and Posttrip inspections are completed in a timely manner.
  • Perform manual and electronic dataentry on a frequent basis.
  • Advanced coordination with dispatch regarding routes.
  • Ensure the appropriate PPE is worn as all times
  • May transport hazardous products or dangerous goods.
  • Other duties may be assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies_

  • 35 years of driving experience is preferred
  • Must possess a valid Class 1 license and submit current abstracts, personal and CVOR
  • Comfortable handing household garbage/waste
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to successfully pass all required training, background check, and drug and alcohol testing.
  • Truck driving in all types of weather conditions, including the use of chains in the winter.

Salary:
$26.00-$28.00 per hour
