Hyatt Regency Vancouver is seeking a dedicated, professional, customer service-orientated individual to join the
Food & Beverage team as a Regular - Server.


Restaurant servers are responsible for submitting guest menu selections and presenting these food and beverage preferences. The right person will gain menu knowledge and give recommendations from our compilation of cuisine and drink offerings. Their style and service attributes are keys to creating the guest experience. Other duties include general restaurant preparation and maintaining a sanitary environment.

Qualifications:


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have BC Serving It Right certificate
  • Must have Food Safe Level 1 certificate
  • Must be available to work various shifts (especially afternoon shift from 16:00 to 22:30) which include weekends and holidays depending on business needs
  • Must have previous customer service experience
  • Must have at least one year serving experience in a hotel, restaurant or pub setting
  • Must have good upselling skills
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred
  • Knowledge and previous experience with POS Micros system is preferred
  • Must have refined and professional communication skills at all times
  • Must be able to adapt to a diverse environment
  • Must be an excellent team player and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Must have an upbeat personality and remain positive and professional at all times
