This is a term full-time position, anticipatory permanent, working 75 hours bi-weekly from February 23, 2023 to January 16, 2024.

Temporary Assignments may also be considered.

The Compliance Monitoring and Inspections branch is the field service unit of the Department, providing compliance monitoring, inspection, enforcement and community client support services for natural resource development activities in the territory.

This position is responsible for coordinating the development and analysis of new or revised policies, regulations and legislation.

It provides advice on operational policies; prepares and coordinates briefing materials; and represents the branch on various intergovernmental and public forums, including public engagements and interdepartmental/intergovernmental negotiations.


Essential Qualifications:

  • Postsecondary education in Public Administration, Political Science, Business Administration, Communications, Law, Natural Resources or a related field;
  • Experience in a policy role, undertaking tasks such as researching, analyzing and writing reports
  • Experience writing various types of documents, including coordinating and communicating departmental messages/technical information to a variety of audiences
  • Experience participating in and contributing to interagency teams/working groups/projects
