Job Summary


CMHA Ontario is seeking an experienced Program Coordinator for a full-time special funded contract until March 2024, with the possibility of a contract extension into 2024 based on approved funding.

The incumbent will report to the Deputy Chief of Programs/Program Manager, Resilient Minds providing coordination and admin support to the Resilient Minds Program.


Core Responsibilities

  • Respond to client and training requests.
  • Provide general administrative support, including meeting coordination, mailing coordination, and other projects as needed.
  • Track training events and participants; report training activities to the Resilient Minds Interim Program Manager.
  • Prepare and deliver program presentations for various stakeholders.
  • Manage and keep uptodate a stakeholder database (Salesforce) that contains key contact and course information, and leverage this database for ongoing promotions, engagement, and program evaluation.
  • Implement quality improvement measures and evaluation practices as directed by RM Interim Program Manager and offer suggestions for improvement.
  • Participate in health equity initiatives for Resilient Minds, including maintaining an uptodate Health Equity Impact Assessment, to increase accessibility and full participation for program participants.
  • Attend regular meetings of the Resilient Minds and CMHA Ontario teams.

Skill-Based Competencies

  • University degree or college diploma in the social sciences, humanities, healthcare, sciences or equivalent experience (35 years of experience)
  • Working knowledge of the mental health and addictions sector including psychological trauma (source, impacts, treatment options and recovery)
  • Experience in project management or coordination.
  • Welldeveloped administrative, organizational, and problemsolving skills to effectively multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent writing and editing, with superb presentation skills with an attention to detail.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is a very strong asset.
  • Experience in the health sector is an asset.
  • Completion of a suicide intervention program, such as Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is an asset.
  • Completion of Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an asset.
  • Certification in the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF), Individual and/or Group Crisis Intervention Model (CISM) is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of CRM software (an asset)
  • Marketing experience using social media platforms (an asset)

Working Conditions
This is a special funded full-time, temporary contract position, working standard office hours (and paid 35 hours/week). This position is based in Toronto, Ontario.

We are currently operating within a hybrid model, with colleagues working from the office 3 days/week and from home 2 days/week.


This position is also a desk job with extended periods of sitting, reading, telephone interaction, and working at the computer.

This position involves some moderate lifting, shipping, and handling.

Attendance at various meetings throughout the workday/workweek will be required; meetings may occur on short notice, depending on the circumstances.

This position is within the OPSEU Bargaining Unit.
