The
Specialist, Project and Change Management (PCM) is responsible for providing leadership and oversight of the CUPS Strategic Plan Implementation to ensure the effective execution of organizational projects.

The Specialist, PCM will develop and implement change management strategies to facilitate engagement, learning, and a smooth transition during project implementations.

The Specialist will be responsible for coordinating multiple project rollouts, continuous resources assessments, project reporting and proactively assessing organizational readiness and resistance to formulate the path to success.

The Specialist, PCM, also acts as a resource person for individual strategic projects, providing methods, tools, and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.


Leadership:


  • Develop the strategic plan implementation approach and scope, in collaboration with CUPS leadership
  • Participate in the CUPS Leadership Collaborative and actively engage with the members on the implementation of the strategic plan
  • Enhance and maintain a project management and change management culture at CUPS that includes the strategic direction and all areas of the organization
  • Provide change management expertise and knowledge to deliver on strategic projects and provide coaching to internal stakeholders on change management best practices and principles
  • Orient senior leadership and support regular strategic plan checkin meetings
  • Provide recommendations of external support required and provide oversight to project consultants in collaboration with CUPS leadership

Duties and Performance:


  • Provide strategic plan implementation oversight, including supporting individual project scoping, planning and execution as required
  • Establish Project Management (PM) structures, processes (e.g., issue tracking and resolution, project decisionmaking, quality assurance) and project execution roles (e.g., Project Sponsor, Team Lead, Team Member)
  • Develop PM tools and templates, including charters, work plans, and status reports; Orient and train the Project Team to PMO tools
  • Develop project prioritization criteria in collaboration with senior leadership and facilitate the selection of priority projects
  • Design change management approach, guidance, and tools in collaboration with Human Resources
  • Provide documentation, communications, and status reports on projects to various stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Develop timelines for both the highlevel implementation plan and individual projects
  • Monitor overall strategic plan implementation and report progress against plan
  • Define and monitor success metrics for various projects
  • Develop a stakeholder engagement plan
  • Develop a communications plan in collaboration with Communications
  • Identify constraints and provide suggested solutions to resolve constraints
  • Develop PMO budget in consultation with senior leadership; Monitor budget and report on budget to actual results
  • Support Project Sponsor and Team Lead to develop work plans and budgets for individual projects
  • Support individual project execution (as required to be agreed by project leader )

Stakeholder & Communication Accountabilities:


  • Communicate, support, and engage with CUPS leadership team on a regular basis regarding project outcomes and status
  • Establish, build, and maintain collaborative relationships with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure tight communications with CUPS leadership via Facilitation of CUPS strategy meetings for Leadership Collaborative Team and via Status meetings with CEO monthly
  • Draft status reports/ presentations for Board meetings in collaboration with senior leadership
  • Deliver in all instances the highest degree of professionalism with internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate in the CUPS Leadership Collaborative and actively engage with the members on the implementation of the strategic plan
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships and collaborative arrangements with crossdepartmental colleagues, community partners, board members and consultants
